Alicja Malgorzata Turowska
M.A. was
born in 1960 near Lublin. She completed her
studies at the Faculty of Arts Teaching, University of Maria Curie Sklodowska in
Lublin. She obtained a
diploma from the studio of Prof. Stanislaw Popek. Alicja also has a degree
from the School of Arts (PLSP) in Naleczow. She was a teacher giving her talent to
new generations of artists. Her students have won a lot of prizes in
national
and international arts competitions. She has also won prizes for her artwork. She enjoys creating
paper
arts by different techniques
including paper-cuts ("wycinanki"), pastel
paintings, graphics,
and glass painting. Her inspiration for art comes from the beauty of nature and
is influenced by Polish folk art.
